Course Format/Policies:
This course consists of three lectures each week. Doing well in this course begins with coming to lecture.
Students who regularly attend class gain a greater understanding of course material and consistently get higher
grades than those who miss class. There is an enormous amount of material to be covered in this course and,
while the lectures coincide with the textbook, additional information will be given in lecture that is not in the
textbook. You are strongly encouraged to take an active role in your learning. The more engaged you are both
inside and outside of class, the more you will enjoy the material and the more you will learn.
The goal of this course is to have you not only learn the material covered in class, but also develop skills that will
assist you in learning throughout your academic and professional careers. Please feel free to ask questions
