Marketing using the 4 P’s
There are good products out there in the market, but I thought of my favorite
product – Vans sneakers. Vans are known for their high-quality and durable shoes, as
well as their famous skateboarding sneakers. If I were the marketing brand manager
using the 4 P’s of marketing which are Product, Pricing, Place, and Promotion, I should
understand well the industry where I entered and who am I competing with, providing
effective marketing. Marketing is defined as “putting the right product in the right place, at
the right price, at the right time” (MindTools, 2021).
Product. This is the item we are going to expose in the market for consumer
demand. “Marketing begins with a product – a good, a service, or an idea designed to fill
a customer’s needs or wants.” (Ebert et al., 2017) When target segments are identified,
a company can begin marketing the product. With the Vans’ sneaker products, I would
