Marketing Project: Red Bull Question #11
11- Red Bull is a worldwide phenomenon- it expanded into over 100 countries with a
single, standardized product (now it has a variety of flavors and sizes). Red Bull has
garnered 70% of the world’s market for energy drinks by pursuing the youth market on a
global scale. Your assignment is to buy a Red Bull product, drink it and describe your
reactions to its after effects in terms of tastes and enhanced energy: is the cost/benefits of
such experience highly favorable to other products? Then research the case studies on
Red Bull and explain its marketing strategy,
My reaction after tasting for the first time a Red Bull was that it was a regular drink,
similar to soda. However, after a couple of minutes I did get the sensation of energy and I
felt a little bit more active, or well my body fell a bit active. I think it was the
combination of sugar and caffeine that gave me the reaction because coffee gives the
reaction of awakening to many people because of the sugar and caffeine.
Although, after tasting the Red Bull I went on to taste some of the other energy drinks,
which are Red Bulls’ competitors, including Monsters, Ciclon and Rockstar. I wanted to
know what was the difference between all of these new energy drinks and Red Bull. After
having one of each (Those are between the best sellers after Red Bull) I’m certain that the
taste of Red Bull is the best in the market, or at least my favorite one. The other energy
drinks are just a copy of what Red Bull is, with some adaptations in their ingredients.
