The first concept that really made an impact in my brain is looking at the reason why some of
these companies work. Looking at companies like Amazon, Netflix, and some of the fast food
stores work really opened my mind to see the real reason on why they do certain things. With the
fast food restaurants, I never thought that the value menu had a specific reasoning for being
there, I always thought that those menu items were just valued at a cheaper price due to cost of
production. To look at the different reasoning for the value menu during the class, the main one I
retained is using it as a technique to earn more money, even though it does hurt certain fast food
restaurants, and the customer’s wallet. I also learned a lot about the different methods for pricing.
