E-portfolio Individual Reflection
In this reflection essay, I would like to share some experiences gain on E-portfolio and Employer
Relations course and the effect of these in my life and group work. We are required to form a group
of 6-7 members to complete our group assignment, and provide solutions and recommendations to
increase social media follower and overcome the website traffic in NSCB system company. Due to
Movement Control Order (MCO), I started to find group members through Facebook or WhatsApp,
and luckily Wei Choong Group still lack of members, and I and my friend decided to join them. We
aren’t able to have face to face meeting, so we often use Facebook Group chat and BB collaborate to
have discussion. I feel very comfortable in this groups as they are Malaysians, so I don’t face any
communication barriers in this group and helps our groupwork went smoothly.
Before I start this assignment, I feel that this is a big project which might need to communicate and
present Infront of manager or CEO in the company. During the process of assignment, lecturer have
scheduled a virtual meeting for students to communicate with the manager and studies more on
NSCB company background that would help on group assignment, while I still feel very nervous
because I lack of experience on communicating with Manager of the company. Due to many
assignments in this November, I have delayed my parts in this assignment, but I still managed to
done my work before the deadline decided by group Leader. Surprisingly under the pressure of
other assignment, team members still managed to send their work on time and we work very well
together on discussion, therefore there are no disputes between us. During the mid-point check of
the assignment, we presented our slides to the manager on NSBC company, and I felt very surprise
that the manager mentioned we are the first group that showed effort on this assignment.
Referring to individual assignment, I think I have acknowledged the key point in E-portfolio, by doing
wix link, resume, Personal Development plan (PDP), It helps me to reflect, organize and prepare for
job applications. Throughout the lesson, I learn that I must strengthen my time management skills
while sometimes I faced difficulties between work and studies. As a conclusion for whole semester, I
learned that E-Portfolio is an employable tool that can be used in the recruitment, selection or hiring
process, and is an important product of the graduate learning process, so it is valued. I believe that
an effective E-portfolio contains the correct information and can help employers save time and
money when looking for skilled employees.
