The Social Security Act was signed into law by President Roosevelt as a way to assist
older Americans with a continuing income as when they retire. The program gained its funding
through the Federal Insurance Contributions Act tax, each individual and employer pay 6.2% of
wages up to the taxable minimum. The government intended this to provide this service in a
timely manner, assisting people in a pay-as-you-go manner. The issue here is that the money that
