It is up to our next president to right the wrongs done by our current one. It is up
to our next president to restore the country’s faith in America. I trust that this president
will be Marco Rubio in 2017. Marco Rubio was born on May 28, 1971 in Miami, Florida
to Mario and Oriales Rubio, two Cubans who immigrated to America in 1956. Rubio
attended Tarkio College in Missouri on a football scholarship and then transferred to
Santa Fe College in Florida. In 1996, he graduated from the University of Florida, where
he met his future wife, Jeanette Dousdebes. Once he obtained his law degree from the
University of Miami, he and Jeanette were married in 1998. After 17 years of marriage,
they now have four children together and call Miami home.
In 1999, Rubio won the election to the Florida House of Representatives and
