Alana Mansell had built her garage on the property of her neighbor
Betty Hunter, Hunter although knowing about the encroachment had agreeing
to it. 28 years later Hunter decides she wants the garage removed, Mansell
responses by asking a court to declare adverse possession over the area her
garage had crossed that was formerly Hunter’s. The case that appears in front
of a courtroom is the case of Mansell Vs. Hunter over the rights of the property
which the garage was built on.
Alana Mansell is fighting to keep her garage. Betty Hunter believes that
since the property the garage is over reaches to her side that she has a say in
whether the garage stays or goes. The two are unable to make an agreement
