In this assignment I will construct a flow chart which represents the physical flow of laundry
through the laundry company WGCN highlighting the main activities at each process. I will
also be indicating the main indirect and direct costs that are incurred in the laundry
department whilst also identify the potential risks that are associated with reducing direct
costs.
Contact
This is where the company in possession of laundry will reach contact WGN for their services and WGN will
then start the process of providing their services by sending out a driver to collect the laundry for washing.
Sorting
This is the process where the sta of WGCN organise the laundry and assign
sta to dierent parts of the washing process such as drying and ironing.
Small businesses and private households
They will have their laundry wash in
conventional industrial- standard
washing machines
Washing
WGN wash the laundry but divide up the washing in correlation to the
wants and needs of each customer.
