Introduction
Infosys Limited is a fast growing Indian multinational company that provides global
consulting and IT services, it was established in 1981, until 2014, it had become the
second-largest IT company in the world. Infosys is high diverse in terms of both its
clients and workforces. Infosys has clients in 50 countries and employees from 83
countries (Infosys, 2014). The high diversity enabled Infosys a more innovative working
environment with more fresh ideas, it enabled Infosys can do business in many different
countries. However, it also means Infosys need to handle the culture differences,
communication barriers, and many other conflicts may rise when doing business with
other countries.
To better understand how Infosys handle its business, in the following of this report, I will
choose three different countries in different continents which represent 3 different culture
backgrounds to see how Infosys overcome the culture barriers and success in different
countries.
I chose USA in Americas, China in Asia Pacific, and France in Europe. Infosys has
subsidiaries in all of these three countries. For example, in US, Infosys had 18
international offices until 2012. As in China, it has offices in developed cities like Beijing,
Shanghai and the other four cities. It has two offices in offices which are locate in Pairs
and Toulouse respectively (Infosys, 2014).
