The Impact of the Internet
Internet – a global computer providing network providing a variety of information and
communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using standardized
communication protocols. The internet is a tool that is widely used today. It has quickly become
the single most used service in the United States; All ages benefit from this spectacular
invention. The network of networks was assembled in 1983, but it wasn’t until 1990 that the
world wide web was created, which is the most popular form of internet usage. The purpose of
the internet’s existence was to create a centralized database that could be accessed by multiple
people in different locations. My responsibility is to explain how this system has come to fruition
and is now widely used in almost everything we do. The way the internet operates today, it is put
in place as the first contact point for essentially everything inclusive of topics like seeking
medical advice, help with academic subjects, finding a specific good or service, etc. Creating
something as such, causes me to think about how many people make strides towards helping the
efficiency amongst everyone.
In today’s society, efficiency is a huge need and important to the advancement
of the world as over eighty percent of the worlds everyday use incorporates some form of
technology. The internet comes into play because it is the centralized operating system for many
of those everyday uses. The importance of the impact of the internet helps to analyze just how
much we depend on the internet every day. Without this resource, we can see that the
functionality for many people would be heavily affected. The need that my topic solves is that it
consistently contributes to the modernization of society. As the common software for many, the
internet is able to connect those near and those far. Virtually the internet can place those that’re
