Summary of the book
In “Invisible No More: Police Violence against Black Women and Women of Color”, the
author has depicted the ways Indigenous and Black women are suffered from inequality, police
brutality, immigration enforcement, and racial profiling. In this book, there is a detailed
discussion of the police misconduct and encounters. This book also investigates several violent
encounters between the citizens and police from the perspective of the black women, transgender
women, women of color and others (Ritchie, 2017).
The concept of police brutality is not new in the criminal justice system of the United
States. Even it has been observed that most of the black women, transgender people have
suffered a lot because of police brutality. The behavior, attitude and treatment of the police have
