Abstract
This research paper is primarily focused on the correlation between gender and leadership and
some historical background information relating to the most common theory that describe part of
the leadership style in the corporate world and in education. Otherwise, this research provides
relevant information about women’s leadership styles that differ from men’s, and the
determination of women’s effectiveness as leaders. Also, this research paper review on the ways
women lead in organizations and identify the implications of the leadership literature and gender
issues in the real world of education and business. Besides, it includes some qualities of effective
leadership and discuss each leadership theory that relates to today’s business world. Some
examples describe how a theory is used in a leadership problem and what the theory is most
effective to resolve it. This research paper is based on some studies, and statistics that come from
many researchers bout it.

Introduction of Leadership and Gender
According to the book “Leadership” by Andrew, leadership is the ability to
inspire, support and confidence among people who are needed to achieve organizational
goals (DuBrin, 2007). Generally, people know that leadership is needed at all levels in an
organization and could be practiced to some event by a person not really assigned to a
leadership position. On the other hand, gender is defined as the relations between men
and women, both material and perpetual, so it refers to the distinctive culture created
qualities of men and women apart from their biological differences, (Brandser, 1996).
