11–24: Why does Angelica have the option of joining or not joining the union? Hint: Nevada is a
right-to-work state.
– The state of Nevada is a right to work state, because in Nevada, everyone has the right
to choose whether to join a union to maintain an employment relationship. In addition,
individuals or companies cannot sign any contract or agreement on my behalf to protect
the rights and interests of employees.
11-25: What are the pros and cons regarding Angelica joining the union?
– The advantage is that a good union can protect the rights and interests of employees
and ensure that employees can receive wages and various benefits at any time. If they
are discriminated against in the company, the union can also help employees get their
due protection.
– The disadvantage is that not every union has a good atmosphere and guarantees that
everyone is equal. And if the unions joined are relatively small, sometimes the rights of
employees cannot be guaranteed. The last point is that the individual’s ability cannot be
amplified in the union. If it is a person with very strong individual ability, it is not worth
joining the union.
