Malcom X
Malcolm was born in May 1925 to a Baptist priest Earl Little in Nebraska, where his
father was keen to take him to the church and to meetings that advocated the advancement of
African American’s. Malcolm X’s father was killed by a group of white racists when Malcolm X
was a child and at least one of his uncles was executed without trial. His mother was placed in a
mental hospital when he was 13 years old. Malcolm was then transferred to a nursing home. In
1946, when he was twenty years old, he was imprisoned for larceny and breaking and entering.
In prison Malcolm expanded his knowledge, and he read so much. He read thousands of
books in all kinds of knowledge and established a high culture that enabled him to complete the
