1. A value proposition is when a product or service has a certain worth given by a
customer. There are various factors that can contribute to the increase of the product value
and customer value. Businesses are profitable when customers give more value to the
product and/or service than the cost it takes the business to generate that product and/or
service. This could involve multiple attributes. The value proposition for Worldclass
Lightning is that they chose to focus on customer satisfaction when they implemented their
balanced scored. By examining Exhibit 3 in the case study it shows that Worldclass
Lightning excelled in the customer service as measured by the balanced scorecard. This
output from the balanced scorecard demonstrates that there is a significant value
proposition and a need to continue to focus on this area.
2. For a scorecard to work well and provide the desired information it needs to be able
