Q 1– Explain the Supply and demand for labor market:
A labor supply curve which comes from households show the quantity of labors who are willing to
work in different wags as the wage increases, the quantity of labor supply increases , supply of labor
is positive slope. A labor demand curve show the quantity of worker firms are willing to hire in
different wage. The firm will hire only if the additional revenue come from the labors. Labor
demand curve is downward because of the law of diminishing return , as the firm hire more labor ,
each additional labor productivity is less which results less output and revenue. If the wage of labor
increase the firm’s quantity demand for labor decreases, so there will be many of labor supply. This
results in unemployment (access supply of labor). When this occurs, the employee will be willing to
work at a lower wage.
