By using the count command, the total records for an entire table will be analyzed to
determine if they meet a certain condition. In this case, 752 records were reported on the
file. By using the Count command, we were able to determine the completeness of the
inventory. The total command conducted the total one or more data fields for the entire
table/ that met certain condition. Finally, the verify command helped us check the validity
errors in the table for Anston products. It checked if character data fields contained
character data and numeric fields numeric data, unprintable characters, improper numeric
characters, etc. Verify results indicated to us where the valid data appears on the table.
Overall, these three commands proved effective.

As for the monthly ledger amounts. We found some slight differences in our ACL system
compared to the IT department’s general ledger totals for inventory purchases. The Total
command helped us identify the accuracy of the ledger since it proved the completeness
and accuracy sum of the fields that we analyzed and evaluated effectively.
