Luca Pacioli Research Paper
Luca Pacioli was known as the Father of Accounting. He was born during the
Renaissance in Italy. Prior to this, was a time where all the wealth was controlled by the ones
with power. Pacioli was an Italian accountant for many wealthy families in his time. He was also
a teacher of accounting. He studied mathematics at the Library of Duke Federico. He envisioned
to bring mathematics outside of the library and into practical daily use. He wrote the very first
accounting textbook known as the Double Entry System.
