Hello, my name is Kyle Ilyssa Lancaster. I currently am employed, while working toward
obtaining my degree. I hold management roles at both of my jobs, which has opened-up my
interest for this course. I am interested in this course because I believe it will give me a better
understanding of leadership and how it has progressed in society over time. I believe this
course will help me to become a better leader, and help me to diagnose problems in any
business setting. I hope to gain knowledge of arising issues that are found within the study of
leadership. I hope to obtain knowledge about leadership in organizations and diagnose
theories that arise within the work place. I believe this class will give me the in-depth point of
view on how leadership can affect the performance of individuals, teams, and organizations. I
have seen within my own life how leadership, or lack-thereof can affect a team, and I am
interested in looking at this more in depth. I hope to gain self-awareness and insight to help
promote my own individual development of leadership skills within an organizational or
business setting. I hope to be able to utilize newly developed skills to become a better and
smarter leader.
