Literary Analysis Paper
Over this semester, we have read many stories and poems each presenting its own unique
writing style and meanings. I decided to choose “I Go Back to May 1937” by Sharon Olds to do
my literary analysis on. It is a first-person narrative poem that does a good job incorporating
different themes. In “I Go Back”, the themes of individual identity, family relationships, and the
