The purpose of human relationships is to have people you can trust, love, and
hangout with. Relationships are an out to being lonely. Active listening plays a huge role
in relationships. If you want someone to respect you, you have to earn that respect. The
best way to getting someone’s respect, in my opinion, is to be an amazing active
listener. If you are often in a one on one conversation and the other person wants to tell
why she’s been sad lately, she expects you to be listening, looking, and have correct
body movement/language. She doesn't want you playing on your phone or paying
attention to anything but her. If you listen to her and hear what she has to say, she will
notice that and think to herself how selfless you are and that makes her want to vent to
you more often. Now since you've done this, she has more respect for you and can now
