SUMMARY
Garrett Hardin’s Lifeboat Ethics is an essay concerning the nations of the world
in which the richer are in a lifeboat while the poorer are swimming in the waters trying to
find a helping hand and way out of the water. Hardin states the ways to solve the
problem include allowing all the nations in and overloading the boat causing a capsize
and downfall of the rich nation plus the ones they took on. Choosing those to save
