withoutfriction,northemanwithouttrials.”Myinterpretationofthisquoteisthatjustasfriction
isneededtopolishagem,mancannotshineandstrivetobeperfectwithoutgoingthroughthe
trialsoflife.Thetrialsoflifevaryforeverypersonbutnoneshouldgowithoutdeepreflectionor
betreatedinsignificantly.Ifyoudonottaketimetoreflectonyourtrialsanderrors,youasa
personcannotbetteroneself.Inthefollowingparagraphs,IwillsubstantiateConfucius’belief
thatwithouttrialsmancanneverbe“polished”,andgiveabriefsynopsisofthevaluablelessons
