Life Course Project Paper
Introduction
Born on April 24th, 1939, Howard Williams is seventy-six years old and of Welsh and
Irish decent. At seventy–six Howard has not yet retired and is working as a professor at Boston
University and as the assistant coach of the UNH Woodsmen Team. A resident of Dover, New
Hampshire for most of this life he hopes to live out the rest of his life there. Growing up in rural
New Hampshire has influenced Howard’s life greatly and without his parents parenting him the
way they did he says he most likely would not have ended up where he is now. Howard is an
interesting man who has done a lot throughout his life and impacted numerous people. Over the
course of his life different events have lead him to be where he is today and those events are part
of the life course perspective.
