Liberal Education
I’ve had my heart set on attending college since I was little, never positive on what career
path I wanted to go into. I was told throughout high school that the first few years of college is
meant for students to figure out what they like and dislike through various required
undergraduate classes. My mom always pushed me to go to a technical college until I figured out
what I wanted to do, but I pushed for a University. After touring UW Oshkosh, I knew this is
exactly where I wanted to be. Looking back, I absolutely dreaded going to that art class and cried
way too many times over chemistry. However, during my sophomore year while branching out
and taking a writing class, I had fallen in love with public relations and journalism. Every
successful career requires some kind of critical thinking, teamwork, and a sensitivity to cultural,
