My Personal Statement
I am applying to your master’s program in Special Education for the spring of 2018.
After earning my undergraduate degree in early education from the University of Texas-Pan
American in 2003, I have worked for fifteen years as a special education teacher at Roque
Guerra, Jr. Elementary in Rio Grande City, TX.
One of the proudest accomplishments of my life was earning my college degree, despite
the fact that I started my education late in life. Becoming an educator was a personal decision,
