Lesson 5 Critical thinking
For this assignment, I interviewed 3 children that attend the childcare that I work at between the ages of
5 years old to 13 years old. It was nice listen to the children explain the different reward programs at
their school. Each child was very passionate when answering my questions and gave genuine responses.
Child number 1 was 5-year girl that attends kindergarten. Child 2 was a 9-year-old boy and is in third
grade. The last child I interviewed was Child 3 a 13-year-old boy that’s in junior high and attends a
charter school. My first question was do they like to stay in the classroom and learn or do they want to
be outside at lunch or recess. Child 1 said she loves being in her classroom with her teacher and dislikes
recess and says other children don’t play with her. Child 2 said he like recess more and didn’t care about

system at school that he can think of. Child 3 says he earns positive and negative points based on the
choices he makes. He says that the more points he has he can purchase items from a classroom store.
The third question I asked was how the feel when they’re rewarded for a good day. Child 1 said she
loved gong home to tell her mom and dad she was on green when she left school. Child 2 stated that he
