Leonardo da Vinci was a man born in the wrong time. He was advanced in many skills
and thought about things in a futuristic way for his time. Da Vinci was an engineer, architect,
anatomist, mathematician, artist and inventor. Da Vinci was an illegitimate child, so he did not
receive his father’s surname; his full name was simply Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, which
translates into Leonardo, son of ser Piero, from Vinci. Vinci is a city in Tuscany, Italy. Da Vinci
lived in Vinci when he was young, but most of his life between Milan and Florence, he spent
some time in the Vatican city, and finally died in Clos Luce, France.
The Renaissance artist is most famous for his paintings of the Mona Lisa or “La
Gioconda”, and the Last Supper. Most people credit da Vinci for inventing the scissors, however,
it is a controversial subject because the scissors date back to ancient Egypt. Despite the
controversy, he did improve the design to how we know it today and made their use a lot more
