A tractor equipped with a front-end bucket
called a loader, front-end loader, or bucket loader
One of the most commonly used heavy machinery in the
construction industry, used to excavate, transport, and upload
bulk materials such as earth and rock
Hydraulic-activated lifting system exert maximum breakout
force with an upward motion of bucket
It does not required any other equipment to level, smooth, or
clean up the area in which it is working

Crawler
-tractor-mounted type
Wheel
-tractor-mounted type
Speed and mobility is low
due to
track
Wheels provide
better mobility
and speed
Are capable of overcoming steeper
grades and side slopes
Used in the areas where the ground
is
soft and muddy
There is no rubber tires
There is the chance of rubber tires
being destroyed
Stability can be increased using
long and wide track (low ground
pressure and high tractive effort)
Stability can not be increased
Because of their lower speed, their
production is less than that of a
wheel loader
Most modern wheel loaders are
articulated (provide greater
maneuverability)
LOADER
TYPES OF LOADER
Depending on the sizes and the nature of work to be performed,
loaders can be classified in to various types
