Abstract
Various ethical theories are perceived to be the correct and only way to make ethical decisions
by philosophers and by many people in society. Understanding each ethical theory helps people
decide while making decisions and choices throughout life. In depth, this paper compares and
analyzes two of the many ethical theories, virtue ethics and consequentialism. Consequentialism
is an ethical theory analyzed by many different philosophers from the utilitarianism party, but
specifically John Stuart Mill, while virtue ethics is primarily analyzed by Aristotle. The
