What is the Problem II
We have all experienced that 5pm rush-hour traffic while driving home from
work/school, which inevitably leads to traffic jams. When halted at a red light, it may feel as
though the light will never change to green and you may worry about making it to your
destination on time. Traffic jams are major contributors to the delays we experience in our
modern, fast-paced lives. Moreover, the city’s current management of traffic lights is
technologically outdated and needs to be dealt with differently. Given the volume of active
drivers in the present and considering the expected increase in the future, new ways of
responding to crashes, controlling traffic lights and creating new intelligent traffic lights will
