Lean On Me – Movie Analysis Week 3
In the beginning of the movie Joe Clark is seen teaching at Eastside High School (EHS) in the
1960’s, decisions were being made at that time that would come to haunt the school for years. The
school becomes rundown, and filled crime ridden diversity. The corporate culture at this time can be
described as poor, the teachers have lost any interest in teaching the children and the school district has
ignored that this impoverished school even exists. The school is not making remarks with grades, not
