Why Statement
I am pursing my degree in Business management at Lubbock Christian University.
Earning my degree will open so many doors of opportunity for me by furthering my education
helping me in the long run. I would rather struggle now for these next four years busting my tail
off and working hard to earn that degree. That way I won’t ever have to struggle in life because
I will have my education to ensure the unlimited possibilities of opportunity no matter what.
I choose my major simply because at my high school which had a magnet school called
Construction Careers Academy that taught construction related field courses. Particularly my
interest was in Architecture and Interior Design, however at LCU didn’t offer the degree I
wanted. But, I knew I still wanted to impact the construction field so I saw Business
Management as even better opportunity to achieve my goal. Now when I get Business
Management Degree I plan on using it to become a Project Manager and work with Joeris
General Contractors back in San Antonio. I job shadowed with Joeris this past summer to help
me I know, but I am ready for the challenge that lies ahead.
