Personal Statement
My desire to study law originates from the things I observe around the world and the justice
system presented in books and cinema. My greatest motivation came from Harper Lee’s novel “To Kill a
Mocking Bird” in the character of Atticus Finch whose qualities I have always admired. He is not
judgmental, and he is always prepared to be just, passionate and knows how justice to all is essential. As
much as he knew that he would face hostility and ridicule, he still agreed to defend a black man as he
was committed to upholding the code of justice.
My goal is to work as an attorney, but I am eager to study every aspect of the law. I understand
that law is among the foundations of society, a collection of fundamental guidelines and judgments that
make human civilization possible. I view Law as a field of profession in which I will have the chance to
