In 1821-1880 most of Latin America earned their living on the land, planting, and
harvesting crops. They implemented systems such as the haciendas, which were a large estates
ran by landowners who would pay laborers to work on crops. Haciendas help boost the
countries agricultural production and economic growth but also put vast amounts of families in
