1. What are the nucleotides of dna. ? How are they used to build DNA?
Adenine (A), Guanine (G), Cytosine (C), and Thymine (T). They hold the strands of DNA and the sugar-
phosphate backbones together, and they themselves are held together by hydrogen molecules: Adenine
+ thymine are held by two hydrogen bonds while Guanine and Cytosine are held together by three
hydrogen bonds.
2. Why is extracting DNA important?
It allows for scientists to observe the physical and chemical properties of DNA.
