Why is K-pop so popular?
Many people might heard of K-pop. K-pop is characterized by a wide variety of
audiovisual elements. While the modern form of K-pop can be traced back as early as to early
90s, K-pop is all songs that from South Korea, and K-pop has become a global phenomenon
thanics to its distinctive blend of additive melodies, slick choreography amd production values.
Have you ever wondered about K-pop, we could not understand the meaning at all, hard
to sing, but why they are so popular. Not only in Asia but all around the world. Three years ago,
there was a department store in Thailand, which most of the stores are from Korea. The day that
this mall opened, there were a lot of traffic jams in the whole city. There were some popular
korean singers and artists came to the mall for the Grand-Opening. Thai youth were screaming so
hard. Recently, there was a boyband group called BTS, which stands for Bangtan Boys. BTS is
known as authentic original K-pop group. BTS are not afraid to show themselves as being silly
and odd. BTS is energetic and boyish, while also maintaining humbleness and modesty. BTS
came from BigHit Entertainment, which now are so popular even in the States. They won 126
Awards and got 200 nominations. They were very talented, but being a K-pop stars were not
easy. They have to trained a lot. K-pop artists are groomed and mentored by the managers and

their agents. For many years. Some of them may do it 1 to 5 years. Some of them may take a
long time before they can debut. For example Jihyo from a girlgroup called Twice. Before she
become a singer, she had been a trainee for 10 years. She has been talking about how she
struggled from these days, that she has been mentored throughout a Korean TV Program.
Another example is G.Soul, a korean R&B singer. He has been training for 15 years before
releasing his first song. Intensive training make these artists being prepared and ready to be the

K-pop has ingenious approaches to music videos, genuine talents, and pure hardwork set.
If you have seen any of the K-pop music videos, the first thing you will see are costumes and
