Kosmos Company was a group of former executives from Triton Energy (U.S.), founded
in
1962 as a Texas-based exploration company
Three associates had worked with large oil and gas companies: BP and ARCO. Other
Kosmos executives had had experience at companies such as ConocoPhilips, British Gas,
and Shell.
As Triton workers they have been ongoing production in Colombia and Equatorial Guinea,
and emergent property in other countries including Malaysia, Gabon, and Madagascar.
