The Brain
When I first saw we would be doing an assignment over The Brain, I was excited because
I was familiar with earlier versions of the software. However, after beginning to use it for
this assignment, I realized that I was not as familiar with the software as I had previously
thought. It took me awhile to refresh my memory, but once I did I could see several ways
this program could be used.
The Brain is extremely useful for projects involving intense grouping and organization. I
feel as though this program would be quite useful for incoming freshman. Advisors could
use The Brain to show the students an overview of their degree plan and what to expect as
far as what classes they would be taking.
I usually do not like installing software to my laptop unless it’s just absolutely necessary
because it usually takes up a substantial amount of storage and takes a long time to install.
However, the installation of the software was relatively simply. I thought I remembered the
installation of The Brain being long and time consuming, but it only took a few minutes to
install. I experienced no malfunctions with the software and it took up on a small amount
of storage.
