The company Kimberly-Clark is one of the leading companies in the world. They engaged in producing
several of the essential day to day products such as Kleenex, Sco!, Andrex, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex,
Poise and Depend. Kimberly-Clark was established in Neenah, Wisconsin, as Kimberly, Clark and Co. for
the year 1872 by John A. Kimberly, Havilah Babcock, Charles B. Clark and Frank C. Sha!uck started with a
capital of $ 30,000.00. In the same year the company Sco! Paper Company was founded as part of
Kimberly, Clark and Co. In 1879, the Sco! brothers because of the bad economy I forced him to close his
business, but one of the brothers, along the least of these they decided to create a new company from
the remains of the previous one. In 1880 changed its name to Kimberly & Clark Company and become
the largest producer of paper in the Midwest. They constructed a mill called Kimberly Mill and
developed a people called Kimberly, Wisconsin. In 1900 the Kimberly Mill burns and Arthur Hoyt Sco!
changes the direction of the company, introducing the 7rst paper towel in America. In 1906, a9er the
death of three of its founders, Kimberly & Clark is reorganized and incorporated as Kimberly-Clark Co. in
1907, the only one of its founders is removed from its stake in the company and leaves by Frank J .
Sensenbrenner. In the same year, Sco! Paper development in Philadelphia, the 7rst disposable paper
towel to prevent the spread of common colds. In 1910, Sco! Paper begins to produce toilet paper. In
1913, sales of Sco! Paper Company exceeded, for the 7rst time, a million dollars. In 1915, using the
slogan: "It's the sheet Counted That Counts" Sco! takes advantage selling toilet paper with divided roles,
changing the marketing strategy and industry. In the same year the shares for Sco! Paper Company are
introduced to the Stock Exchange of New York. In 1920, introduced Kotex Sanitary Napkins. In 1924, they
added to their products cheap makeup remover or be!er known as "Kleenex". In 1925, they began to
market their products outside the United States, places like Canada. In 1930, the strategy of marketing
the "Kleenex" change to be a tissue and thus introduced the 7rst portable pack of tissues. Over the years
the company was expanding, acquiring several competing companies in the area of paper production. In
1972, they introduced toilet paper "Co!onelle" and in 1978 disposable diapers "Huggies". In 1981,
introduced "Depend" for incontinence problems. In 1983, "Huggies" becomes the leading disposable
diaper in the United States. In 1985, make structural changes in the organization and manage to
establish a headquarters in Irving, a section of Dallas, Texas and implement specific operational sectors
at diDerent points. In 1989, disposable diapers creates training called "Pull-Ups". In 1990, Sco!
