As an International Tax Reporting Intern at TE Connectivity, I received a great deal of
training in Microsoft Office products when I began my internship. This allowed me to
learn how to do my job more effectively during my internship. I was responsible for
creating spreadsheets for calculating items such as intercompany transactions, tax
provisions, and goodwill amortization. Learning Microsoft Office products has also
enhanced my written communication abilities. Over the span of three years working at TE
Connectivity, I also learned how to use important programs such as SAP and CorpTax
when generating reports and preparing tax returns. My computer literacy will give me an
advantage over other candidates and it will also assist in creating value for Chubb Group
of Insurance Companies. In addition to being computer savvy, I had more experience than
the other interns since I had worked at TE for so long. Because of this my managers felt
comfortable in delegating more tasks to me. This built my organizational skills because it
forced me to learn how to portion my time when completing tasks in order to meet the
deadlines. I will be able to assist Chubb Group of Insurance Companies with all of the
knowledge and experience that I gained during my time at TE Connectivity.
