Physical environment is recognised and known as a key principal for health and is
determinant in various models for health. The environment is a nature of work where
people come to do their job. Sainsbury’s must make sure environment is a safe place to
work and employees need to be aware of their surroundings. Falling objects results too
many injuries. These falling object materials tend to fall into workers because those
objects aren’t stored properly, which will consequently fall into the workers. Sharp edges
are manual handling objects are common materials in the industry. To prevent those types
of injuries objects need to be moved frequently. Trailing leads can lead to death or other
because some people don’t realise what these sorts of accidents can lead to. Evacuation
procedure is there to direct workers to safety e.g. when there’s a fire, workers need to
evacuate the building for health and safety reasons. Controlling damps is vital because if
it’s left unchecked, it can result to damage decor and severe problems.
Equipment
Work equipment is usually employees to use at work. There are wide ranges of equipments
for employees to use. However equipments used in work must be ensured by staff that it’s
safe to use. Sainsbury needs to make sure equipments are safe to use for health and safety
reasons. Sainsbury’ must prevent staff from getting any injuries; therefore they must keep
