PART – I
After completing my Masters, I see myself working as an IT consultant in the field of
Business Intelligence. Ideally I would like to start my career with a big consulting
firm like Deloitte or EY. Business Intelligence is the process of utilization of raw data
and information and using it to improve business processes. I believe working, as a
consultant will give me a good understanding of different processes and how the
business and technology side of business work hand in hand. After gaining sufficient
experience and understanding business processes, I want to start my own startup,
and thus see myself moving in a managerial position in the future.
The concepts that we learnt in the class will be very helpful in a startup and the two
that I would like to focus here are Kanban and A3 Reporting.
1. Kanban: Kanban, which literally translates to signboard in Japanese, is a
scheduling system, which focuses on optimizing the flow of work through the
production process by managing the requests for additional work from
upstream functions. It makes use of Kanban visual cards that are used to keep
track of work flow in the cycle. One advantage of Kanban is that it keeps into
account the concept of WIP or work in progress, which means the work that
