The Criminal Justice System in Saudi Arabia
Criminal justice systems serve a purpose in every country and have different forms of
punishment. Many criminal justice systems are dynamic and different in every country as it can
be based on many different aspects and beliefs. Some countries still use religion as the rule of
law, although ancient they still serve a modern purpose. The criminal justice system in Saudi
Arabia is an example of the religious rule of law, it is based on the Islamic Sharia Law. There are
many differences and little similarities between the criminal justice systems of Saudi Arabia and
the United States.
In 1924, Saudi Arabia was founded by Abdul-Aziz ib Saud, he created the Saudi court
