The right to vote has been very widely debated throughout
centuries in the United States. In the Constitution the 15th
amendment granted men, the right to vote by declaring that the
“right of citizens of the United States or by any state on
account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”1 The
right to vote gives all men and women, at the age of 18, the
right to vote in America, this right is regardless of race, sex
or religion. However, depending on certain states there may be
limitations, and even some exceptions. Voting is not limited to
just rules made by congress and senate, states also have laws
that can be mandated in the right to vote.
