Reection Paper
In this #rst reection paper about my practicum, I am going to answer the three
following questions, “What? So What? And Now What?”. In my #rst two experiences in
practicum I saw a lot and made me reect on things that I would do the same as the head
teacher of the room and things that I may try di2erently.
In the #rst question, “What?”, I observed a preschool classroom that was getting the
students ready for kindergarten that they would a6end next year. I watched them do group
time where the teacher was teaching the kids things that they should know entering into
kindergarten. Another thing that I observed during my time at practicum was the students
having a mid-morning snack before lunch. I got to see how they got every child a snack because
there was only one table for them to do snack at. I saw the process that worked very well for
their classroom. The students would get their named called and they got to pick if they wanted
snack or not, and if they did, they had to go get their placemat with their picture on it so they
know which one is theirs. Then they placed it on the table and went and washed their hands.
A9er all of that, the teacher would tell them how much they could have and they served
themselves and ate until they were finished and picked up a9er themselves so that other
students in the class could have a chance at snack because there were only eight seats at the
