Shown in the article “Where is the empathy for Somalia?” by Alexis Okeowo in The New
Yorker, a huge bomb exploded in Mogadishu. Mogadishu is the capital of Somalia, but it was
destroyed due to the bombing. The bomb killed around three hundred people. Some of the bodies
were not recognizable. The bombing was because of Al Qaeda. Somalia has never received a
bombing to this extent. People lost family members, buildings were burned to ash, and people
