JOB SATISFACTION AROUND THE WORLD
employers hoping to retain and develop their employees. Satisfaction can be
measured by assessing individual components of a job situation, like
compensation, work schedule, work culture and other factors. In addition, it
can also be measured to identify how a person feels about their job overall.
Because job expectations partially depend on cultural norms, it is possible to
compare job satisfaction levels around the world. This paper will identify and
compare three different countries and cultures as it relates to job satisfaction
and motivation. We will also look at how countries differ in their extrinsic as
well as intrinsic characteristics.
