9th speech “Jeju”
Tonight, I’m going to talk about “JEJU island”, which is the largest island in Korea and situated in the
Korea Strait. It is defined by its volcanic landscape full of craters and cave like lava tubes. As you can see
Hallasan Mountain, a dormant volcano visible throughout the island.
Last week, my family had a trip to go to JEJU, spent some +me there 3 days enjoy the trip. Especially my
two sisters came to visit Korea. Based on the previous trip, I want to share what I felt and what I had
during the trip. So that, a.er my speech, you may want to make up your mind to visit “JEJU” , then,
pretty much I succeed in delivering my idea.
I had trips to JEJU many +me, but most +me, I spent my +me to see amusement parks, and to walk over
man made features. When you imagine “JEJU”, what can you draw in your mind? water falls, oceans,
mountain, food what else, temples etc. However, this +me, there were few very unique interes+ng
features that pull you into the beauty of JEJU.

JEJU, there are many different types of museums, art galleries and exhibit halls which are potentially
specialized in detail categories about tangerine orchard, bu0er7y ecology, Teddy bear, dinosaurs, Korean
orchid, GAT (Korean tradi+onal hat made out of bamboo tree and horsehair), Hamel ship (Hamel is the
#rst western person arrived in JEJU and he stayed there for 13 years), woman diver, and more and more.
If you want healable retreat, and you want to deviate from typical life, if you are bored, depressed and
needs something that gives you energy and power. Try JEJU, there is the olle route along with the
perimeter of JEJU Island. According to Wikipedia, it has 21 routes that extent to the total length about
422 kilo meters, and it was originated with the way of St. James, Camino de San+ago, Spain and
introduced by a journalist, Shu Myung Sook. I tried one of the routes along with the ocean coast during
this trip and I have fully enjoyed sea wind and natural scent.
